Breakfast in Boutique Hotel Loft
I came to Seoul for an event at Goyang Stadium (to the west of the city), but had had problems trying to find availability of accommodation near to the Stadium. However, Hotel Loft turned out to be a really great choice for several reasons. Firstly, the hotel is just a 5-10 minutes walk from both Dangsan metro station (subway lines 2 and 9; exit 12) and various buses. I ended up taking bus 9707 to get back from the stadium to the hotel even though it was after 11 pm. Equally, the transport links make it easy to go eastwards or north of the river to get to central Seoul. Secondly, Dangsan is not a touristy part of Seoul. However, I think because of a nearby convention centre, there are loads of restaurants and bars nearby serving food until late. I had fun experiencing one of the nearby 24/7 coin noraebang (karaoke booths). Conversely, there are loads of places nearby for breakfast on the go (as well as Starbucks, Paik's Coffee, etc). There are also 24/7 mini marts nearby, such as 7 Eleven and CU. If I needed to rehydrate any food, such as ramyeon, there was a kettle in my room, and there was a communal microwave near the elevators for my floor. The hotel otherwise has an on-site option for breakfast or dinner, or can do room service. Thirdly, the room I got assigned (605) was spotlessly clean and super comfortable. The bed was massive! The room had its own internet connection, and the hotel had provided everything from device charging plugs to complimentary bottles of water in the fridge. I don't understand some of the negative reviews on here regarding the rooms, as my room was both well-lit (there are two lighting control panels: one on the wall, one next to the bed), and easy to control temperature wise (again, there is one control panel on the wall, and a remote control next to the bed). I also don't understand some of the negative reviews on here about the staff.

In all our years of travelling this hotel has the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Honestly! The pillows were so comfortable and it was also very quiet. Even though we only had a standard room it was quite large, and the bath was huge! Very quaint with some nice touches. Figuring out how to work the toilet was a laugh (if you have ever been to Japan you will know what I mean 😀). It was very quiet, even though there was a construction site nearby. There are plenty of shops and places to eat and drink in the local area, and it is very easy to get into central Seoul on the subway (the nearest subway station is only a 5 minute walk away), and the ticket prices are also very cheap. The hotel staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, and gave us the option of leaving our luggage after check out.

The things I love the most are the location, the comfortable beds and the cleanliness. The rooms have everything you need, including phone chargers. The location is convenient for travelling to Yeouido / Hongdae / Mullae / Central City Express Bus Terminal. The hotel is near 2 subway lines, and a lot of bus routes. The hotel also allows you to store your luggage before and after your stay (I stored mine for a few hours before check in and after check out). If there is anything negative, it would be the heating. The room was very hot, almost too hot and I was hesitant to open the window because of the air quality/noise.

Excellent location for exploring all parts of Seoul. Ideally located a few minutes walking from Dangsan Station where multiple lines cross. The standard deluxe room is spacious and the bed exceptionally comfortable. Fabulous shower and bath (didn’t use). Multiple eateries a minute walk from hotel range from good bakeries, coffee shops, convenience store and Korean restaurants (where the locals eat). This was my second stay and would gladly book this hotel again. Good value for money and easy to reach all key sightseeing locations of Seoul within 20-30 mins.

A great little hotel. The room is spacious, clean, the staff is friendly and very helpful. They have one free of charge laundry order per week which is nice for longer stays. The location isn't too bad, you are within walking distance from both Line 2 and Line 9 which run through almost all points of interest in the city, and there are plenty of stores and places to eat around the hotel.
